In our very first in-person chess tournament, Ms. Cumiskey is delighted to share the news that our team did themselves proud in Knockbeg College. We competed against FCJ Bunclody, Tullow Community School, Gaelcholáiste Cheatharlach and the host school St. Mary's Knockbeg College. It was a six-round Swiss tournament (15mins on the clock for each player).
Individual awards, with each competitor winning all six games:
First Place - Dibsan Rijal
Second Place - Albert Nawrocki
Third Place - Séan Bradley
Team Awards:

Second Place: Keelan Reynolds, Dylan Byrne, Marc Mulhall, Eoghan Brennan and Masrafi Islam
Third Place went to a team from FCJ Bunclody.

An excellent group of students, who learned a lot from the day, supported each other, while representing themselves and our school in the highest manner.
