Spider-Man

Ms. Kirwan's First Year English class has taken creativity to the next level with their Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse projects! 🕷️🕸️ These students are showing off talents beyond the typical English classroom. From designing and 3D printing web-slingers to handcrafting new Spider-People and comic strips, their ingenuity knows no bounds! They even used Scratch to animate their own Spidey creations, showcasing impressive digital skills. Keep up the amazing work, class — your creativity and hard work are truly inspiring! ✨ #CreativeClassroom #SpideySkills #InnovationInAction"

Visiting Artist for Transition Years

We were delighted to be selected for the BLAST Arts-in-Education Residency Programme, an initiative by the Department of Education. We were paired with artist Sonya Weston. Our Transition Year students had the opportunity to participate in a two-day workshop, where they explored a range of printing techniques. This hands-on experience allowed students to fully engage in the artistic process—something that isn’t always possible within the constraints of the regular school timetable. On the 20/3/23 the Art Department brought a group of Fifth Years to The Van Gogh Immersive Art Exhibition in Artane, Dublin. The exhibition blends art and technology, bringing the most iconic works of Van Gogh’s to life. On the day the students enjoyed a combination of visuals, light and sound in an innovative new way to experience art. It gave students the opportunity to be able to step into famous paintings like Starry Night and Sunflowers and view them in a new exciting way.
