Congratulations to the students who received their Awards recently. The following students were awarded with their Awards at a ceremony in Graiguecullen: Katie Bannan – Gold, Seán O'Driscoll – Gold, Ben Hovenden - Papal Cross, Jodie Dooley Salter - Papal Cross, Amelia Chodorska - Papal Cross and Damian Korus - Papal Cross. In addition, the following students received Awards from their parishes: Doireann Broderick - Gold, Sarah Doyle - Gold, Emer Flynn - Gold, Pádraic Kelly - Gold, Oisín Shannon - Gold, Nessa Whelan - Gold, Chloe Watchorn - Gold. Today Mr Murray and Transition Year students made a presentation of €1,100 to Deirdre Dunphy - the wife of Martin Dunphy who was badly injured in an accident earlier this year. A non uniform day held before Halloween was organised by Transition Years.

Congratulations to Presentation College Carlow's minor girls’ soccer team who were crowned Region 3 Minor Schools Soccer League champions last year. The team overcome teams such as Borris Vocational school, Scoil Chríost Rís and local rivals St. Leo's college. The girls had a fantastic season and their teachers Ms. Ryan and Ms. Kinsella are very proud of their achievements this year. Members of the squad include: Ciara and Aoife Kelly (joint Captains), Sinéad and Gráinne Thompson, Lucy Gibson, Karen Bradley, Clodagh Hendy, Clíodhna Hayden, Maya Brennan, Marie Cranny, Beckie-Lou White, Róisín Kennedy, Orla Woods, Sarah Nolan, Matilda and Isabella Kendellen, Believe Ogbomo, Danielle O'Driscoll, Jasmine McGuire McCormack, Nina Uwagbi. Thanks to all at CP Adventure. Our Transitions Years had a wonderful time and while there were many restrictions and precautions due to the current situation all enjoyed the day out. In fact due to the number of students in Transition Year, we had to divide them into two groups and go on two separate days. Three bus loads of students and lots of fun and new friendships made. Congratulations to our Green School Committee and members of the wider school community. We have been awarded our second Green Flag and this year we will be working on the 'Travel Theme'. We have already had a visit from the Travel Officer and she was delighted to see the many bikes parked in the bike parking areas. We have applied for covered parking and hope this will encourage more staff and students to cycle to school. This year as students may wear their PE uniform on PE days, we are hoping that more girls will consider cycling.
