The Transition Year Programme Statement is designed around the development and learning of students moving from Junior Cycle into Senior Cycle, and as they prepare for their future lives as local, national and global citizens.

The statement offers guidance to schools on how to develop a Transition Year programme for all students. Schools have autonomy and flexibility to design their Transition Year programme within the parameters of this Transition Year Programme Statement.

Coordination of Transition Year, and the role of the Transition Year Coordinator is central to how the Transition Year Programme Statement can facilitate effective Transition Year programmes.

The Transition Year Coordinator in Presentation College is Ms Edel Murphy. The coordination of Transition Year works best through a Transition Year Core Team, led by the Transition Year Coordinator.
