Transition Year students met recently with Mr. Alex Stenson who runs the St. Vincent de Paul Charity Shop in Carlow. Alex explained to the students the importance of the shop in Carlow town and how a charity shop functions. He gave a very thoughtful and inspiring talk and encouraged young people to volunteer in any way they can in their own local communities. He also assured them that all money that's fundraised in the Carlow area stays in the locality and helps out those most in need in our own local area. We are very grateful to Alex who took time out to give us the talk and we wish him continued success with the shop.
