Our Student Council have been busy marking 'Equality Week 2024'. Some of the quotations on our morning announcements were: "Your value does not decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth" "Equality is about realising that we all have differences but taking into account that our rights should be the same." Student Council meeting today (Thursday) in Room 2 at 1:30. All class representatives must attend.

Congratulations to Sixth Year student Tara Lyons , who represented Carlow in the LIDL National Final League Division 4 Final at the weekend. Carlow were successful against Limerick and gained promotion to Division 3.

Congratulations to First Year student Ben Nolan, who placed Third in the All-Ireland 60m Indoor Hurdles Final at the weekend. A huge achievement!

Well done to Hanover Harps FC who recently headed to Barcelona to take part in the Football Cup Barcelona. We were very proud to have some of our own Presentation College Carlow students represented on the team. The boys had a fantastic time and were hugely impressive throughout the Barcelona Cup managing to finish second overall in the tournament. Huge congratulation boys on a wonderful achievement.

Well done to the Twenty-Two Third Year students who participated in the European Money Quiz today. Over a thousand teams in Ireland participated. The Parents’ Council of Presentation College is holding a Car Boot Sale / Family Fun Day on Sunday, 5th May from 12:00pm – 4:00pm on the school grounds. Stall holders, vendors and any “Car Booters” who would like to book a place and participate can contact Ann Lennon at 087-3214357 or annl27@hotmail.com. There will also be a bouncy castle, fun games, face-painting and a raffle!

☘️☘️☘️ VIDEO LINK Seachtain na Gaeilge has well and truly kicked off here in The Presentation College, Carlow. A range of fun-filled activities have been planned to get everyone involved in celebrating our culture. A selection of TY students, along with the Irish Department here in Pres have been working very hard to create this video to promote our wonderful language. This video is to promote our students and staff to use their "cúpla focal" and ultimately to "Bí bródúil as!". ☘️☘️☘️ Sixth Years enjoyed Geandáil Gasta' in the library ahead of their béaltrialacha Gaeilge next week. On Friday there will be a Seachtain na Gaeilge no uniform day in aid of the HOPE Foundation.
