Mr Fennell and three Fifth Year students Ella Brennan, Gavin Bradley and Glen Burke are organising a charity tractor run in aid of Éist Cancer Support Centre on Sunday, 3rd of April. The route, starting at the school, will travel to Castledermot via the Old Dublin Rd and return to the school on the R418 road via Duckett's Grove . Congratulations to two of our former students on being awarded an academic scholarship for the academic year 2021/22 by Institute of Technology Carlow. The Scholarship Winners are: Nurlan Kennedy, Bachelor of Science (Honours) in TV and Media Production and Jack Nulty, Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Games Development. Leaving Certificate Year: 2021. We are delighted to celebrate their success and wish them all the best in their studies and future.

Asia Wins Science Award

Congratulations to Asia Aloi, a First Year student, who won the Irish Science Teachers' Association Award in Scifest at the Colleges Competition in Carlow IT. Asia's project was "An Analysis of String Theory". This award is presented to the best project in the Junior CategoryAsia wins a trophy and one for all vouchers for this project. She is a member of the Science Club which meets at lunchtime. New members are always welcome.

Irish Mathematical Olympiad

Congratulations to Fifth Year Damian Korus who came in the top forty in the Irish Mathematical Olympiad. This means that Damian has been invited for more intense training in preparation for the Irish Maths Olympiad on Saturday 09 May 2020. The best six pupils at the Irish Maths Olympiad will represent the country at the International Maths Olympiad which will take place in Russia in July 2020....

On the 9th January one hundred and forty Second Year students boarded three buses to go to the BT Young Scientist exhibition in the RDS, Dublin. We had a great opportunity to look at the many range of projects on display and this will help us with ideas for our CBA's which are coming up soon....
