We were very grateful to have @amberwomensrefuge visit our TY students recently. Students created eight point stars. Amber’s One Million Stars Ireland project is an inclusive community arts project connecting communities across Ireland in solidarity against domestic abuse and all forms of violence. Each eight-point star woven represents light, hope and solidarity against violence, promoting our project’s eight points of healthy love within relationships.

Éanna Dunican - Third Year, ran for St Laurence O'Tooles in the Leinster Athletics indoor final of the U17 60m sprint. Éanna ran a PB 0f 7.30 seconds for the semi-final and qualified for the All-Ireland finals in April by coming in the top four in the final. Éanna lost out on the bronze medal by a thousandth of a second. He and the bronze medalist both ran 7.31 in the final and after a long deliberation they were eventually separated by one thousandth of a second. He now looks forward to the All-Ireland finals in TUS Athlone on 6th April.

On Monday morning we had our EPAS Monitoring visit via Zoom. EPAS stands for European Parliament Ambassador School. Second Years are currently working on their booklets as part of the programme.

Congratulations to all of last year's Third Years! On Thursday and Friday they were awarded with their JCPA Certificates at Award Ceremonies in the School Library. This was a meaningful event organised by Ms. Barrett - the Junior Cycle Coordinator. In attendance were members of Senior Management. Cupcakes baked by various class groups were enjoyed by all. Congratulations to past student, Cillian Moore, who today received his UCD Entrance Scholar 2023 award at a ceremony in the O'Reilly Hall in UCD. We wish Cillian all the best with his future studies!
