TY News
Transition Year students enjoyed a visit to Trinity College Dublin last week and NUI Maynooth in the previous week. These were tremendous opportunities for the students to view the facilities and hear about the different courses available after leaving secondary school. Meanwhile, back in school, TY students were busy promoting their mini-companies and running the school bank. This week, their learning curve takes them to the workplace as each student does one week of work experience. Presentation College is as ever deeply appreciative of the efforts made by the many local employers who assist with the work experience programme.
Sports News
The past few weeks have been very busy with important football matches. Our senior boys soccer team (U19) had a fantastic 5-1 victory over St. Kieran’s of Kilkenny last week and an encouraging 2-2 draw with Carlow CBS. Our U.18 and U.16 Gaelic footballers qualified for Leinster quarter finals with victories over De La Salle Bagnalstown and Monasterevin.

Best of luck to the Fourth and Fifth Year cast members of the memorable school show West Side Story who will perform an extract from the show in the GB Shaw Theatre on Thursday 8th December. The performance is part of the ‘Six of the Best’ series which met with great success last year.
