Presentation College was involved in a two year Collaborative Leadership Project. Those involved from Presentation College were: Ms Gillespie (DP), Ms Murphy (Coordinator), Ms Bradley, Ms U. Byrne and Ms Owens. The project involved three schools with Presentation College being the Lead School. St. Patricks College was also involved. The project was supported by CSL and Wexford Education Centre.

Conor Whelan participated in the online course provided by the college to prepare for his Final Year in Presentation College. Teachers and students are currently very busy with assignments and exams as part of our Summer Assessment 2020 process. A whole-school approach was taken via all Subject Department Coordinators consulting with all the respective subject departments to agree on the best assessment structures for their particular students and subject in the current circumstances, as per the Department of Education and Skills Guidelines. All First Years participated in a study skills workshops on Wednesday 6 November 2019 in the school library. Students were taught how their ‘amazing brains’ work. They practised techniques and developed skills to enhance their learning in all subjects. Teachers present helped students link the material to their subject. Thanks to the Parents Council who supported the workshop.

Maths was the focus of teaching and learning recently in Presentation College. There were puzzles, special maths based activities and lots of discussion regarding the importance of maths in relation to the student’s lives and future careers.
