Leaving Certificate 2023

The use of the online system, the Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) will continue for the 2023 Leaving Certificate. The CSSP will open at 1pm on Wednesday, 8th February for candidates to confirm their subject entries and levels. It will remain open for this purpose until 5pm on Tuesday, 21st February. Further information is available on your Microsoft Teams account.

Congratulations

Congratulations to the Leaving Certificate Class of 2022 on their wonderful results today. We are very proud of each and every one of you. You are a credit to yourselves, your families and your school. We wish you all the very best as you move into the next exciting phase of your lives. Please remember that we are here for you and we are always interested in hearing about the paths our former students take in life.

Success in the AILO Problem Solving Competition

Of the nine students who took part in the preliminary round of the All-Ireland Linguistics Olympiad (AILO) on Wednesday 2nd February, we are delighted to announce that two of our students qualified in the top 100 in the whole of Ireland. Two Fifth Year students, Jake Baker and Oliwier Jakubiec have been invited to participate in the All-Ireland National Final on Wednesday March 9th in DCU. A fantastic achievement! ....

Webinar for Parents

There will be a Parents' Webinar on Monday 19th April at 7:00pm on: Dyslexia and how it affects students at Second Level and How parents can support the student at Second Level

 

The presentation will be given by Wyn McCormack and is just over an hour with questions and discussion following. Click on the heading for further details.

Two former students of Presentation College have recently been awarded Academic Scholarships from Dublin City University. The recipients are Anita Thapa, who is studying for a BSc in Psychology and Meadhbh O’Sullivan who is studying for a Bachelor of Education. All in Presentation College are very proud of their achievements and wish them both every success in their studies.

New Step by Step Video Guide to The Candidate Self-Service Portal

As outlined in Circular 07/21 for 2021, the State Examinations Commission (SEC) has introduced a facility to allow Leaving Certificate candidates to confirm their subject and level entry details online through the Candidate Self Service Portal, and to indicate whether they want to take the examinations, or to receive SEC Accredited Grades, or both.

 

The Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) is a service provided by the State Examinations Commission (SEC) and the Department of Education for 6th year candidates entered for the 2021 Leaving Certificate.  

The Candidate portal will open at 12 Noon on Wednesday 10 March and close at 6 pm on Tuesday 16 March.

Navigating the Final Term of Leaving Cert 2021 - A Webinar for Parents

Thursday, March 18th at 8pm

The aim of the session is to present the facts of Leaving Cert 2021 to the parents/guardians of the learners in order for them to play a supportive role in the decision making of the students.

Brian Wall (Guidance Counsellor and IGC Member) will make a presentation on the night and parents will have an opportunity to ask questions via the Q+A function also.

Brian’s presentation will focus on the practical and emotional obstacles that lie ahead as well as the issue of calculated grades and/or sitting the Leaving Certificate exam/s.

The presentation will give tips and suggestions around how parents can help their teenager optimise the remaining study time from now until June and their management of the obstacles that may prevent students maximising their efforts.
