School Awards 2023

Congratulations to all students on completing the school year 2022 -2023. At our Awards Ceremonies on Thursday and Friday many students were recognised for both accademic abd extra curricular achievements. Enterprise Awards

TY Mini Company #StudentEnterprise Programme! ‘Cover Up’ is an innovative method to protect cups from unwanted visitors. Transition Year students Lexi Mia, Kayla and Jan have enjoyed their entrepreneurial journey with teacher Ms. Vanessa Byrne. They received the Best in School Award this week. National Problem Solving Finalists

Two talented Sixth Year Presentation College Students competed at the National Problem Solving Final. Congratulations to Brandon Jaroszczak and Jake Baker who were two of the 100 Students from 49 Schools who competed at the National Linguistic Problem Solving Final in DCU on Wednesday....Four winners from the Final will go on to represent Ireland at the International Linguistics Olympiad held in Bulgaria in July.

On Friday, 3rd February a distinguished gathering from the world of academia converged on the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow for the sixteenth annual Presentation College Academic Awards ceremony. The Junior Cycle recipients were – Seán Breen, Dylan Byrne, Marie Cranny, Aoife Moody and Emma Nulty. The Leaving Certificate recipients and their current course of studies were  Aleksandr Berdin (Computer Science, UCC), Adam Byrne (Journalism, DCU), Liam Egan (Engineering, UL), Meadhbh Fallon (Pharmacy, TCD), Vlad-Flavius Florea (Computer Science, UG), Emer Flynn (Science, UCD), Emilia Hamulewicz (Commerce International with Chinese Studies, UCD), Pádraic Kelly (Engineering, UCD) and Katie Moore (Global Business with French, DCU).

 

 

Triathlon Recognition at the #ITAWARDS

Two staff members received awards relating to the Triathlon at the #TIAWARDS. Mr. Bailey received his National Series Bronze Medal on the night. Ms. Kavanagh was awarded the Carloine Kearney Award for exceptional contribution to the sport of triathlon by a female athlete.  



Annual Prize-Giving Awards Ceremony 2022

Our Annual Awards Prize-Giving Ceremony took place recently to recognise all the achievements by our students both academically and through extra-curricular activities throughout the year.
The awards ranged from Sporting Achievements, Musician of the Year, Student of the Year, AILO/AIPO, Student Council, CEIST, Bridin Quinn, Amanda O'Mahony Memorial German Award.
It was very uplifting to recognise the continuous hard work being done by all our staff and students both inside and outside of the classroom, particularly during a most difficult year.

Congratulations to our outgoing Meitheal Team, who looked after our First Years so well at a very difficult time. With Covid-19 restrictions, they were invaluable to our First Years. They were presented with their certificates at: Meitheal Achievements Night in Askea Church. A beautiful ceremony attended by Robert Norton and Bishop Denis Nulty. Huge Congratulations to our Meitheal Team who have been amazing leaders throughout the year looking after all our first years students. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
