Reigning South-Leinster champions Ballyhale were knocked out of this year’s championship after suffering a 1.09 to 2.2 defeat to the Presentation College/Gaelcholáiste on Tuesday morning.

Played in summer conditions at the Pres grounds, the Carlow-side were wasteful in the first half shooting 10 wides but still managed to record a half-time lead of 1.03 to 0.1 thanks to three points from Danny McMahon and a goal from Sam Wickham. Shooting improved after the break as scores from Killian Sweeney and Ben Nolan secured a second victory from two matches. Next up for the lads is a meeting with Ramsgrange, with a win in that fixture guaranteeing the school a home semi-final. That game will be played on Tuesday, March 4^th at 11am in Ramsgrange.
