Due to adverse weather warnings our Careers Seminar planned for tomorrow has been rescheduled. It will take place on Thursday 10 October.

Monday 30 September saw the German and European flags raised at the entrance to the College. The German Ambassador HE Deike Potzel, Michael Hauke from the Goethe Institut and Louise Reeves the President of the German Teachers Association were among our honoured guests. In total we had thirty-seven speakers from four schools...

Fifteen students came from Spain to attend school in Presentation College, Carlow. In an interview with a number of them we asked about their reasons for coming to Ireland, their experiences of life and school in Ireland and also about school and life in Spain....

 

On Monday the Sixth Year Geography students travelled to Kippure, Co. Wicklow to carry out experiments in the river Liffey for their Leaving Certificate Geography Project. Despite some showers in the morning the weather held out for the rest of the day. Some of the experiments carried out were: 'Calculating the Velocity of the river', 'Calculating the Slope of the River' and 'Analysing the Bedload'. The project will be worth points for their final Leaving Certificate Geography exam. 

Well done to our fantastic Meitheal Team who organised some fun activities on Friday for our First Years. They finished off the day with some impressive moves during Wii Dance!! They have been working really hard, ensuring all our First Year students are settling into Secondary School life that little bit easier and supporting them all the way.

On Wednesday 28 August our hard working committee members went on a trip on the Barrow.  They are currently working on the Water Theme and were very pleased to find that once they travelled out of town, there was almost no litter. 

Students at Presentation College recently received awards for their excellence in academic, sporting and extra-curricular activities. The highest award that of Senior Student of the Year 2019 went to Ciara O’Doherty. Daniel Pender received the Ceist Award. The Brídín Quinn Award recipient was Darragh Curran ....Photos
