This Thursday, March 6th, is World Book Day! To celebrate, we’re encouraging all First Year students to dress up as their favourite book or comic character—and we’d love for staff to join in the fun too.
To keep things simple and creative, we’re asking both students and staff to use what they already have at home or get crafty and make their own costumes.
On behalf of the First Year English department, we’d really appreciate your support and hope to see many of you taking part.

We were delighted to be selected for the BLAST Arts-in-Education Residency Programme, an initiative by the Department of Education. We were paired with artist Sonya Weston. Our Transition Year students had the opportunity to participate in a two-day workshop, where they explored a range of printing techniques. This hands-on experience allowed students to fully engage in the artistic process—something that isn’t always possible within the constraints of the regular school timetable.
