The Board of Management implements a system of Academic Awards to honour the top achieving students in the Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate examinations. Academic achievement among the students is a top priority in Presentation College and they perform consistently at a very high level in terms of results in the Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate examinations each summer. This is due in no small manner to the hard work ethos of the students and their teachers, coupled with the support and encouragement of their parents.
The Junior Cycle recipients were – Michael Duke, Kate Kumpiranon, Amy McDonald, Esther Ogbegile, Lauren O’Reilly, Chloe Ryan, Emma Stevens and Sophie Stevens.
The Leaving Certificate recipients and their current course of studies were - Harry Feeney (Biomedical Science, UG), Lauren Hennessy (Pharmaceutical Science, SETU), Megan Hosey (Pharmacy, UU), Oliwier Jakubiec (Software Development, SETU), Brandon Jaroszczak (Software Development, SETU), Clare Miller (Bachelor of Education, MU), Cillian Moore (Bachelor of Commerce, UCD), Alannah O’Brien (Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Chemistry, MU), Dáire O’Sullivan (Engineering, UG) and Tommaso Stynes (Bachelor of Arts, UG).

Lions Club National Young Ambassador of the Year Finals (2023-24). Keeva Delaney from Transition Year in October was successful in going forward to represent Carlow. On Sunday 21st January Keeva impressed the judges with her presentation and work she has done to support Cliona’s Foundation. This an Irish based charity that provides help to families who are dealing with a financial crisis while caring for a child with a life limiting illness. Keeva and her family have put countless hours and creative energy in to a huge range of initiatives to support the work being done. The prize money that is awarded to Keeva as part of the title will be split evenly between Cliona's Foundation and the rest will be used as a seed fund to encourage the development of other youth lead initiatives to support engagement with local charities.
Keeva will now represent Ireland in Birmingham in February. She will also take part in an exchange programme over the summer coordinated through the Lions Club and in October Keeva will represent Ireland in the European Lions Club Young Ambassador Finals.

Ramsgrange Community School: 4.09 Presentation College / Gaelcholáiste Carlow: 2.10...... Full Report ...There was no shame in defeat for Pres/Gaelcholáiste as they more than matched a very good team containing several county players from Wexford and Waterford.....this result was bitterly disappointing for Sixth Year students Paul Gray, Seán Buggy, James Ingram, and Conal Fitzpatrick who have been pivotal figures of school hurling for the past six years. They would especially like to thank their trainers and mentors, who have given them the opportunity to represent their school and develop their skills and talents.
