Today a group of lucky students met Billy Kelleher MEP to ask and learn about the European Parliament. We had a representative form the Sixth Year Politics and Society class and four from the Fifth Year class. A group of First Year CSPE students were also in attendance. Topics included: Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture, Global Warming, The History of the EU, The value of Languages. Students were encouraged to become active citizens and learned that this is often the starting point in becoming a Politician. We are very appreciative of him making time in his busy schedule to visit Presentation College. Thanks to Dylan for raising the Irish and EU flags at the entrance of the school to honour the occasion. Students look forward to sharing the information with their Politics and other CSPE classes.
