This Christmas we could not sing together and make music together like we look forward to and enjoy so much every year in Presentation College, Carlow. We felt we could not let the year that was 2020 close without performing a firm favourite of ours from all the Christmas carols, ‘O Holy Night’. For the last ten years the annual carol service in Presentation College has finished with ‘O Holy Night’ and we really wanted to create something special that could be shared with the whole school community as 2020 draws to a close. We are fortunate to have many very talented musicians in Presentation College and this video showcases just a few of them. Click on the picture above to listen and enjoy. A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Darkness into Light event in aid of Pieta House this weekend.
Our GoFundMe page is still active on www.gofundme.com/f/DILPRESCARLOW until Thursday evening. We are delighted to say that €1,685 has been raised for Pieta House by our school.
We have put together a short video of the images sent in from staff and students to mark our school community's response. It's a lovely reflection of the event. If anyone has photos they haven't had a chance to send please do and we can add them in. Click on this link to view our video. DIL_Pres_College_Carlow.mp4
It is moments like these that draw our school together and made even more poignant by the circumstances.
