We are delighted to have a wonderful new facility for staff, students and the many groups who use our school facilities outside of school hours. We would encourage people to avail of the facility and to consider cycling even once a week.

German Embassy Visit

Presentation College was delighted to welcome Mr. Robert Henneberg from the German Embassy to our school on Monday 13th September. Whether for travel, education, pleasure or employment, Mr. Henneberg, who speaks fluent English, French and Irish in addition to his native language of German, assured students that it will always be of value to work on one's language skills. There are of course increased opportunities in life for those who speak several languages. We would like to thank the German Embassy for valuing the importance of the young learners of German and French by supporting them with the interesting and educational visit and the gift of books..click on the heading for the full report and photos.

Tusla are urgently trying to recruit new foster carers for the Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary areas.

Tusla foster carers provide a home for children who are unable to live with their own families, and give them the support they need to thrive. Fostering may be for a few days or weeks, or for many years, and the children range from babies to teenagers. Fostering can be challenging and also highly rewarding. Foster carers come from all walks of life. Many foster carers have their own children. Foster carers can be single, married, in a same-sex relationships, employed, unemployed, and retired.

Tusla needs carers from varying ethnicities and cultures. Tusla – Child and Family Agency provides the training and support which will enable people to undertake this challenging task.

Please do not hesitate to contact Tusla on 1800 226 771 or e-mail tusla.fostering@tusla.ie if you would like to make an enquiry about becoming a foster carer.

An Online Information Session will take place on the 15th September 2021 at 10am for anyone who would like to find out more about Fostering.
