First Year Business Studies students in Presentation College Carlow got the opportunity on January 12th to visit Butlers' Choclate Factory and to see what really goes on behind the doors of a working factory. They got the chance to learn about how Butlers Chocolates have grown to be a true Irish success story since its beginnings in 1932 and of course taste some chocolate! They were accompanied by teachers - Ms Byrne, Ms Fogarty, Mr Fennell and Ms Gibbons.

On Tuesday, 10th January Presentation College hosted a German Cultural Event for students from three different schools that took place in the Visual in Carlow, Gingerbread men were baked by Aoife and Clodagh for the over 150 participants. For more details and photos, just click on the heading.

Third Year Boys recently participated in a Workshop with Wolf Academy on December 19th. The workshop was designed to inspire and cultivate long lasting confidence and empower our young boys in self-expression, self-discovery and purpose. The workshop provided techniques to help our students develop healthy relationships with their emotions, connect to and accept their authentic selves.

A fantastic evening of Networking and Appreciation for all involved in the APA Charity was held on the 14th December ’22, in the Camden Court Hotel Dublin.
Presentation College Carlow students, Cathal Moriarty, Ethan Windsor, Jaml Osho, Charlie McNamara and Charlie Feeney, along with their teacher Mrs. Kelly were delighted to be invited to this inspiring event and meet the guest of honour and Oscar Nominee, Ruth Negga.
It was a privilege to hear from the various speakers on the amazing work the Charity does for Domestic Workers and to have a Zoom call with former domestic worker Debora Mwageni from Tanzania.
Presentation students have been working in the APA shop, A Partnership with Africa, since September as part of their Transition Year work experience Programme in conjunction with their Global Citizenship Education/Religion class and are thoroughly enjoying the experience.
