Jake Baker, Clare Miller and Gavin Bradley are pictured at St.Patrick's Campus, DCU, where they attended the 2023 CEIST Student Leadership Conference. 
The students represented our school in dialogues with students from over 60 different schools about how student leaders make a significant contribution to living out the CEIST values in our school communities.

More than 50 Music students from Transition, Fifth and Sixth Year went to the George Bernard Shaw Theatre at Visual today. Carlow Institute's Music Performance and Performing Arts courses presented a showcase of their work called Dream. They performed Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Scattered Light, a live music performance featuring songs by AC/DC, Evanescence, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, 4 Non Blondes and lots more. Our students loved the performances and had a lovely day out.

Isabelle McCormack in Second Year will be competing in the National Indoors Athletics this weekend on Sunday in Under 16 Shot Putt, representing her club @CTMV_AC. We wish her all the very best. Recently in the National Spring Throws competition, Isabelle placed Fourth in the Javelin. She also placed Second in the Under 16 Shot Putt at the Leinster's. Well done!

AaRoN Smith is a past pupil and former Head Boy 2021 - 2022 of Presentation College Carlow, he is currently studying at BIMM in Dublin to hone his craft for songwriting, Smith is already attracting plenty of attention for his clever, catchy, quirky and original songs. He releases his first single titled “Shotgun” on all streaming and download platforms on April 7thClick here for more information and links

Ireland celebrates 50 years as a member of the European Union this year. This Tuesday our Junior EU Ambassadors from 2AT planned and organised an awareness raising day. Students made quizzes, designed posters, conducted surveys, decorated the school entrance and a team did face painting during break time on the 28th March... Unconsious Bias

Fifth and Sixth Year Politics and Society students with teachers Ms. O’ Doherty and Mr. Carley participated last week in a very interactive conversation around Unconscious Bias, titled “Together Against Racism: Exploring Unconscious Bias” with a key address by Emer O’Neill.
