#AndSheCycles

Transition Year students and #andshecycles Ambassadors Amy and Joanne travelled with Ms Kavanagh to an #andshecycles session at Sundrive Velodrome  on Thursday. The students were lucky to experience cycling on a velodrome and enjoyed a bike maintenance class. They are very competent and confident at fixing punctures now! Thanks to Ms. Murphy for organising! Visiting Artist for Transition Years

We were delighted to be selected for the BLAST Arts-in-Education Residency Programme, an initiative by the Department of Education. We were paired with artist Sonya Weston. Our Transition Year students had the opportunity to participate in a two-day workshop, where they explored a range of printing techniques. This hands-on experience allowed students to fully engage in the artistic process—something that isn’t always possible within the constraints of the regular school timetable. Our TY Young St. Vincent de Paul (YSVP) group are launching their annual SVP Christmas Food Appeal this week.

The group would be so grateful for your support. Donations of non-perishable food items can be left in the decorated shopping trolley in the front hall. Donated food will be collected at the end of the month by our local branch of SVP and hampers will be distributed in early December. All hampers will go directly to local families in need this Christmas. Year on year the need for support rises in Carlow and indeed around the country, so all donations will be very much appreciated.

Thank you as always for your support and generosity.
