A combination of First- and Second-Year hurlers from Presentation College and Gaelcholáiste Carlow came out on the winning-side of a tough encounter with Wicklow College on Monday morning on a score-line of 3.12 to 3.11.

Played in Rathnew GAA club, the Pres led by four at half-time thanks to a string of points from Danny McMahon and Sean Reid. The game remained in the balance throughout the second half until First-Year student Padraig Agar produced a sublime piece of skill to net his second and the away-side’s third goal of the contest and secure victory for the Barrow-siders. Next up for the lads is a meeting with Ballyhale who narrowly defeated Presentation College in last year’s South-Leinster final. That game will be played on Tuesday, February 25th at 11am at Presentation College.
