Our Semaine Française was a great success once again this year in Presentation College, Carlow. From First to Sixth Year every student was encouraged to engage in an array of fun learning activities aimed at promoting the French language and Culture in our school.  Congratulations to First Year quiz winners Bridget Mommoh, Liliana Katra, Grace Kavanagh, Rebecca Serban and Celine Strelcov who answered a variety of questions about France, when all First Year French students took part in a fun morning of games and activities organised by an excellent group of Transition year students led by Lauren O Reilly.  Second Years learned more about French film.  Third Years presented information to their classmates about French cuisine, with some students even trying their hand at baking typical French food.  Well done to Cameron Nicholson who made a  French Baguette and to Layla Whelan and Lily Purcell who made some delicious Crèpes for their friends and teachers.  Fifth Year French students took part in a guided tour "en français" of Kilkenny Castle.  Sixth years, as always, enjoyed a taste of France as they tucked into some delicious croissants and Pain au Chocolat for a traditional French Petit Déjeuner.  Vive La France à Presentation College, Carlow.  The very successful French Week finished on Friday and staff enjoyed thier own French breakfast with music in the staff room.
