Some photos from the IrFWU Public Speaking Competition in UCD on Saturday. Ance, Clare, Nicole and Abigail represented Presentation College and while they didn't place this time they have gained valuable experience and knowledge for future events. It was their first time participating in such an event ! Hats off to these girls for putting themselves out there and working so hard on this for the last number of weeks. After getting some good constructive feedback from the adjudicators, the girls are a step ahead for their next competition. Thanks to Ms Kirwan for her support and encouragement.

This Thursday, March 6th, is World Book Day! To celebrate, we’re encouraging all First Year students to dress up as their favourite book or comic character—and we’d love for staff to join in the fun too.
To keep things simple and creative, we’re asking both students and staff to use what they already have at home or get crafty and make their own costumes.
On behalf of the First Year English department, we’d really appreciate your support and hope to see many of you taking part.
