🌟Scholarship Recipient 🌟Huge Congratulations to Lily and Chloe from the Leaving Certificate class of 2025 at Presentation College. We are delighted that both Lily and Chloe have been awarded the Helen Flynn Memorial Scholarship for 2026. HIRECO said that this is a great reflection on Presentation College to have two students of such high calibre selected as the recipients. Lily is studying Mathematics and Statistics in TUD. Chloe is studying is BSC in Sport Science and Health in DCU.

Helen Flynn (née Ryan) was the managing director of HIRECO Ltd, having worked her way up through a male-dominated industry, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues, clients and business partners. As a mark of huge respect after her death, the company, under the leadership of Pat Carson, generously committed €100,000 over ten years to fund an educational scholarship in Helen’s name.

Helen was born in St Mullins, so the scholarship honours her legacy and supports young women from her native county to pursue a career in business/leadership.

Helen was a successful businesswoman who steered a company in a male-dominated field. Helen has left a lasting legacy after she sadly passed away in 2022. Congratulations toour wonderful former Presentation College students Lily and Chloe on being the 2026 joint recipients of the Helen Flynn Memorial Award.

Our Green Schools committee was awarded the Global Citizenship Litter and Waste Green Flag as a result of their hard work over the past two years keeping our school clean. Represented by Fifth Year students Clodagh and Sophie, and accompanied by their teachers Ms Dempsey and Ms Fitzgibbon, the committee was presented with the new flag at a fantastic awards ceremony in Hotel Kilkenny where they got to meet different Green Schools committees as well as the An Taisce Green Schools regional leaders and environmental officers. Well done to all Green School members!
