Congratulations to Emma from First Year who was nominated Carlow’s SHINE Hero. The competition which was organised by Beat and the Shona Foundation involved looking for inspirational girls from around the county. Emma received several nominations and was selected in particular for having donated sixteen inches of her hair on TWO occasions to the Rapunzel Foundation. This foundation specialises in making wigs for girls who have lost their hair due to illness.
