The Young SVP group in the school, The Aloysius Foundation is in its third year and going from strength to strength. The current Transition Year students have signed up to carry on the great work of the group from the previous two years. Plans and ideas are being discussed and decided on at present. It appears that the group will have another very busy and fulfilling year.
The school got great news two weeks ago. The song, ‘Shine a Light on Those Alone’, composed by Ciara O’ Doherty (Fifth Year) and performed by her and members of The Aloysius Foundation as part of their presentation at last year’s Regional Youth day in Waterford has been chosen as the song for the SVP Annual Launch Day in Dublin this November. 
Ciara will perform her song in front of national media and Ryan Tubridy. She will be accompanied by a children’s school choir and members of The Aloysius Foundation on the day.
