Presentation College is delighted to have been selected, as one of only ten schools in the country, to participate in the National Energy Upgrade Pilot Programme for Schools, coordinated by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and the Department of Education and Skills. The project will involve the upgrading of lighting and heating systems in the school during the summer, which will result in a much more energy-efficient and energy-aware school with the result of substantial financial savings being made next year and into the future in these areas.
The Principal, Ray Murray, and coordinating teacher, Noel O’Neill, attended a briefing session recently in Tullamore where further details of this forward-looking scheme were outlined to all participating schools and their consultant teams.
