Six Transition Year students, Maeve O'Sullivan, Daniel Pender, Ciara Lyons, Aoife Whelan, Tomas Becher and Caitlin O'Sullivan have made it to the National finals of the AIB Build a Bank competition in the RDS.
They travelled to Leopardstown racecourse on Thursday, 16th March for the regional finals along with their teachers Ms. Noone and Ms. Bradley and student officer from AIB. Conor O' Grady. Here they had to showcase their bank and explain how they set up the bank in the school and the fundraising activities that they organised. The charities which have benefited from their fundraising are St. Clare's Hospitality Food Kitchen, Cycle Against Suicide and St. Vincent de Paul. They were one of eight teams picked from twenty eight on the day. The team were very passionate about the bank and the judges were very impressed with their enthusiasm on the day.
We wish the team the best of luck on 23rd April as they represent the school and Carlow in the finals.
