On Monday, 13th March, Ms Bradley brought her Fifth and Sixth Year Agricultural Science students, along with Ms Grant, to UCD Lyons Estate as part of Agri Aware Farm Walk and Talk. The day was opened by Deirdre O'Shea, CEO of Agri Aware and also in attendance was Minister of State, Andrew Doyle.
The students went to eight different stations on the day which included dairy, beef, sheep and tillage farming. On the day they visited there were twenty-eight lambs born and students got to see them straight away. There was also a very informative talk on health and safety on the farm.
The students found the day very informative and this Walk and Talk will help them with their Agricultural Science project which is worth 25% of their Leaving Certificate course in this subject.
