Six tuxedo-clad, tech savvy students – Tomas Becher, Matt Cullen, Tadhg Downey, Jordan Hennesy, David Lalor and Daniel Pender - along with Principal, Ray Murray, ICT Coordinator, Claire McHugh and teacher, Maeve Lyons attended the Digital Media Awards Ceremony in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin on Friday, 17th February.
The Presentation College representatives were there as finalists in the Best Collaborative Campaign category having submitted an entry detailing the school’s collaboration with Microsoft Education Ireland, Compu b, Edco Digital, Prodigy Learning and Dynamic Business Systems Ltd. to enhance digital literacy in the school. The awards ceremony was attended by over eight-hundred representatives of the country’s top media, advertising, digital and marketing companies and the students thoroughly enjoyed the event. The 80’s theme to the night added to the enjoyment and the sumptuous meal and musical entertainment for the event were enjoyed by all. While the school was not successful on this occasion, Presentation College has walked away on the past two occasions of this ceremony with the award for Digital School of the Year.
