Presentation College was represented in a recent national "SuperChef "cookery final by Second Year student, Meghan Jennings.
The competition in association with the Restaurant Association of Ireland and St. Angela’s College, Sligo challenged secondary school students to create a healthy and affordable version of their favourite restaurant dish.
Meghan took on the takeaway with a tasty turkey cashew nut stir fry served with cauliflower rice. She submitted her entry last December and was chosen from over 1200 junior category entries to the competition.
Meghan was invited to cook her dish at the national finals in St Angela's College, Sligo for the judging panel who had the tough job of choosing a winner from the final 15 entries present on the day.
Meghan's dish was highly commended by the judges on the day for its taste, unique ingredient innovation and presentation.
Reaching the final 15 in a national cookery competition is a fantastic achievement, and claiming a runner up position on the day amplified the accomplishment of Meghan's efforts. Congratulations Meghan!
