Our annual Semaine Française took place recently in Presentation College, where all students were able to savour various French festivities. The week began with a French play ‘Le Rendez-Vous’ taking place in the school library for Third Year French students. This was one of the many activities organized by French Teachers Madame Cadinot and Madame Owens. First Year French Students enjoyed a ‘Chasse aux Trésors’ also organised for Monday.
Second Year French Students took part in our first ever French bowls tournament on Tuesday and some students made and tasted delicious French crêpes. Fifth and Sixth Year students attended the George Bernard Show Theatre for a special showing of the French film ‘Bande de filles’. All students were encouraged to demonstrate their artistic talents for the art competition based on the theme of “Films Français”.
Transition Year Students presented a selection of various projects they had been busily preparing with a range of topics from French food, where we tasted some French delights, to French music ,culture and art. Everyone had a Bonne Semaine Française!
