Students from the Transition Year 1 class, along with their teacher Ms Edel Murphy, visited the ‘Jacket off your Back' warehouse on the Athy Road on Tuesday, 13th October. Whilst there, students met with Kevin Kelly and his wife Sue who are the founders of 'Jacket off your Back', a charitable organisation that helps Syrian refugees.. They helped Kevin to sort out jackets into categories ((male/female, child/adult) and even made packages that will be sent to the refugee camps in Damascus and Syria in the coming weeks. Kevin complemented the students on their disposition and ability to help pack so many care bags in such a short time. Our Fifth LCVP class will also shortly visit Kevin.
