🌟Scholorship Recipient 🌟Huge Congratulations to Lily from the Leaving Certificate class of 2026 at Presentation College. We are delighted that Lily has been awarded the Helen Flynn Memorial Scholarship for 2026. She will be studying Mathematics and Statistics in TUD.
Helen Flynn (née Ryan) was the managing director of HIRECO Ltd, having worked her way up through a male-dominated industry, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues, clients and business partners. As a mark of huge respect after her death, the company, under the leadership of Pat Carson, generously committed €100,000 over ten years to fund an educational scholarship in Helen’s name.
Helen was born in St Mullins, so the scholarship honours her legacy and supports young women from her native county to pursue a career in business/leadership.
Helen was a successful businesswoman who steered a company in a male-dominated field. Helen has left a lasting legacy after she sadly passed away in 2022. Congratulations to former @pres_carlow student Lily on being the 2026 recipient of the Helen Flynn Memorial Award.

January was another busy month in the Guidance Department at Presentation College. CAO deadline looming had us busy with our individual appointments working with students on their applications and DARE forms for some. We had representatives from @SETU, @CarlowCollege and @DCU presenting to our senior students. Sandeep Kumar, an engineer from MSD, spoke to our Transition Years as part of Junior Achievement Ireland. Students engaged well with Sandeep and will put his words into practice in their guidance classes over the next while. The KCETB Apprenticeship Expo held at Tyndall College was an opportunity for those seeking apprenticeships to meet employers and give in their CVs. Ms McCarthy was looking after the Sixth Years, ensuring they were fuelled for their mock exams. Click on the heading for more photos.

Past pupil, Leo Bramrock, visited Presentation College last Friday - a Young SVP non-uniform day - to meet a group of Fifth and Sixth Year students who are preparing for the HPAT....Leo achieved an incredible score of 197 points in his HPAT exam in 2025 which placed him in the 98th percentile...Guidance Counsellors, Ms O'Sullivan and Ms Rothwell were particularly impressed with Leo's presentation and how he gave so freely of his time. #hpatprep #leavingcert2026 Click on the heading for more information.
