Today Transition Years took part in the National #ThinkLanguages Event for the first time in Presentation College. Special thanks to our team of Language Champions, Ben, Cathal,  Lexie, Lucy and Mia who planned and ran the morning. There was a movie, an online quiz against other schools, croissants, pain au chocolat, German biscuits (Kekse) and lots of photos and prizes. 

The quiz was organised with other schools and all the students had to answer some questions about some countries around the world and their languages. For each question that they answered right, they got a certain amount of points depending on how fast they went. Up to 180 schools around Ireland were involved in the event and all participated in the quiz. Unfortunately, none of our teams ended up in the top 10. However, we got some groups placing top 50 or better.

It was a nice day for the students because they got the opportunity to learn their language for three whole classes instead of the regular one class in a fun and interactive way. The classes watched a movie while they were given treats from either Germany or France.
