Of the nine students who took part in the preliminary round of the All-Ireland Linguistics Olympiad (AILO) on Wednesday 2^nd February, we are delighted to announce that two of our students qualified in the top 100 in the whole of Ireland. Two Fifth Year students, Jake Baker and Oliwier Jakubiec have been invited to participate in the All-Ireland National Final on Wednesday March 9^th in DCU. A fantastic achievement! ....

February First is always St. Brigid's Day. This year was particularly special. We also marked the fifteen year anniversary of Ceist - this is the governing body of our Presentation College. Congratulations to all students who sat the AILO problem solving exam in school this week. The results are not yet out. It is a very competitive competition involving students from all over Ireland. The top 100 will be invited to participate in the Final. The top four will represent Ireland in the International Olympiad. Transition Year Cycling

Our three Transition Year Cycling Ambassadors, Anna, Tara and Amy have organised a biking sessions for around fifteen Transition Year girls. This one took place on January 18th from 11.45 - 1.05 . The Ambassadors are organising these with the assistance of Ms Kavanagh as part of their #andshecycles Ambassador Programme. We are delighted to announce that the PE Department have purchased ten bicycles and helmets for students to use in school. We would like to thank the Green Schools Committee for promoting the introduction of cycling to the curriculum. We are currently working on the #Travel Theme.

Congratulations to two of our former students on being awarded an academic scholarship for the academic year 2021/22 by Institute of Technology Carlow. The Scholarship Winners are: Nurlan Kennedy, Bachelor of Science (Honours) in TV and Media Production and Jack Nulty, Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Games Development. Leaving Certificate Year: 2021. We are delighted to celebrate their success and wish them all the best in their studies and future.

We had three winners in the Tinryland Christmas Fair Art Competition. Second Place: Isabelle Mc Cormack in First Year.
