Today (9/11/2023) we have four delegates from our Student Council: Clodagh, Roisin, Lily and Nothabo, representing our school at the Carlow-Kilkenny Regional Council of Schools in SETU. Here they will meet with other Student Council members from various schools in Carlow and Kilkenny and take part in elections for Regional Officers. They will also get involved in various workshops organised by the Irish Second-Level Students' Union to inspire personal growth, development and leadership skills. This is a wonderful opportunity for these students and we look forward to hearing their feedback at our next Student Council meeting.

Well done to our Senior Camogie team who had a brilliant match against St.Fergal's Rathdowney in the third round of our schools league. The girls got off to a shaky start but regrouped at half time. The second half saw some positional changes and a super tally of scores from the Pres girls who find themselves settling into the game more comfortably. The team fought hard to the final whistle and despite the huge score difference at half time, the match ended up in a draw. A fantastic comeback from our girls.

Our TY girls had a wonderful day at this year's Shine Festival marking International Women's Day. The girls enjoyed motivational guest speakers such as Irish Olympic Boxer Kellie Harrington, as well as some mindfulness techniques and of course a dance off to conclude the day. We all left feeling inspired and supported by our female colleagues and friends.
