Happy Catholic Schools Week from CEIST

Jan 20 2026

Happy Catholic Schools Week! This year’s theme, ‘Catholic Schools: Normal Lives, Called to Holiness,’ reminds us that the call to holiness is not just the preserve of the saints, but is God’s invitation to every single one of us, students, staff, and parents, every day, in every corner of our school communities. Holiness is not being perfect it is about having the courage to live each moment with and in love. Holiness is choosing to forgive, to be kind, to be honest in our everyday encounters with others. Holiness is recognising that each one of us is made in the image and likeness of God and that all our interactions must be rooted in that understanding.  Holiness is, in the words of St Therese of Lisieux, ‘doing small things, with great love.’

Catholic Schools Week 2026 is an opportunity to celebrate the holiness that is already present in our classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, prayer spaces and, most importantly, in every person in our school communities. The resources provided on Catholic Schools Week 2026 – Catholic Schools – Normal Lives, Called to Holiness | Catholic Education Partnership will help and support your celebrations throughout the week.

Have a Happy and Holy Catholic Schools Week 2026. CEILIÚRADH CEIST will be celebrated next week. Bí Cineálta Be Kind
