Lions Club National Young Ambassador of the Year Finals (2023-24). Keeva Delaney from Transition Year in October was successful in going forward to represent Carlow. A huge thank you to the Carlow Lions Club for their support of Keeva.
On Sunday 21st January Keeva impressed the judges with her presentation and work she has done to support Cliona’s Foundation. This an Irish based charity that provides help to families who are dealing with a financial crisis while caring for a child with a life limiting illness. Keeva and her family have put countless hours and creative energy in to a huge range of initiatives to support the work being done. The prize money that is awarded to Keeva as part of the title will be split evenly between Cliona's Foundation and the rest will be used as a seed fund to encourage the development of other youth lead initiatives to support engagement with local charities.
Keeva will now represent Ireland in Birmingham in February. She will also take part in an exchange programme over the summer coordinated through the Lions Club and in October Keeva will represent Ireland in the European Lions Club Young Ambassador Finals.
