On Wednesday 22nd September nineteen young people from Graiguecullen/Killeshin parish received their Heather Cowan Award. This is the third year the parish and Cowen family have presented the awards in memory of a very special young person Heather Cowan, who passed away three years ago. The following students were awarded with their Awards at a ceremony in Graiguecullen: Katie Bannan – Gold, Seán O'Driscoll – Gold, Ben Hovenden - Papal Cross, Jodie Dooley Salter - Papal Cross, Amelia Chodorska - Papal Cross and Damian Korus - Papal Cross. Congratulations to all thirty of our JPII Award Recipients who received Silver, Gold and Papal Cross Awards at the annual awards ceremony held in Carlow Cathederal. Pictured (click on heading to see photo) are our award recipients along with Bishop Denis Nulty, Mr Ray Murray (Principal) and Ms Georgina Maher (teacher and Award Leader). We are extremely proud of all our students and the amount of time and help they have contributed to both their school and parish communities.
