Transition Year Gaelic Football Blitz

On Thurs. April 7^th,a very successful transition year gaelic football blitz for boys(10 aside)was held in Eire Og, Carlow,organised by Brendan Hayden,the Carlow GAA Development Officer.Teams from Colaiste Eoin(Hacketstown),Carlow CBS,Gaelcholaiste and Presentation College all took part.The emphasis in this competition was mainly participation.This was a great opportunity for all of the 12 TY boys from Presentation College to experience a the game of gaelic football,some had never the chance of playing in a competitive match before.Pres were short 8 of their TY boys on the day due to them competing in the formula one national c’ships in Dublin on the same day.Scorers for Pres were Shane Byrne,Ben Callinan and Jamie Purcell.The blitz finished off where 3 combination teams from the four schools played 15 aside games,great fun was had by all.
