It was a Tuesday morning in the plots. Pres Carlow took on Tullow in a highly anticipated game. Sophie Moran took the lead for Pres early on with a nice finish inside 5 minutes. Pres continued to dominate and were soon rewarded with a second goal tucked away by Clara Banjo who had a great performance for the blue, red and green of Pres. Tullow pushed valiantly to get back in the game but to no avail thanks to great defending by Chloe Ryan. Aisling Connolly was causing severe for Tullow down the left hand side. Pres kept Tullow scoreless at the break. Second half started with Tullow pushing on looking to reduce the deficit but Joanne Cranny pulled out multiple great saves. The captain Sarah Duffy was leading by example on the wing. The defence held Tullow out and the game finished 2-0 to Pres.Best players for Pres were Aisling Connolly, Erika Hennessy and Grainne Thompson. It was a great overall team performance for Tullow and it was a great game for the mutuals.

Well done to our Senior Camogie team who had a brilliant match against St.Fergal's Rathdowney in the third round of our schools league. The girls got off to a shaky start but regrouped at half time. The second half saw some positional changes and a super tally of scores from the Pres girls who find themselves settling into the game more comfortably. The team fought hard to the final whistle and despite the huge score difference at half time, the match ended up in a draw. A fantastic comeback from our girls.
